Huntingdale Golf Course, Oakleigh South, Victoria, 3167

Huntingdale Golf Club is a private golf course in The City of Monash in Oakleigh South, that is most famous for it’s association with the Australian Masters Golf Tournament, which was held annually at the course every year from 1979 until 2009. In 2010 the tournament broke with the Huntingdale tradition and introduced a venue rotation policy, but Huntingdale was once again chosen as the venue for the Australian Masters in 2015.

Huntingdale is known for it’s magnificently manicured fairways, sandbelt bunkers and undulating greens. Huntingdale’s bunkers are plentiful in numbers. There are over 80 bunkers on the course and many of them are intimidatingly large. The greens are true and very fast, in fact legendarily fast, and can be extremely challenging, especially if they are baked in hot windy conditions when the ball has been known to stop, and then start rolling again because of a gust of wind.

While Huntingdale is arguably one of Australia's best known golf courses, it's not the highest rated golf course in the City of Monash, that honour goes to the Metropolitan Golf Club.
